WEEK 11 - COMBAT SET

by Gavin King, 2nd Dan Go So Kempo

1 - The attacker (left) is acting aggressively, and the defender (right) as always sticks their fence up!

2 - The attacker throws a right cross which the defender deflects with their left hand.

3 - The defender then steps in on the right foot and clothe lines the attacker with their right hand. This knocks the attackers head up and back while also disrupting the spine.

4 - The defender then steps around to the attackers rear while spinning their shoulders round to the left.. The defender also wraps their right arm over the attackers chest, tucks their head into the attackers shoulder and secures the attackers left arm with their own. All the time keeping the attacker off balance.

5 - The defender grasps onto the back of their own neck with their right hand and wraps their left arm over the attackers left arm.

6 - The defender applies the choke by raising their head upwards and using the left arm to pull downwards, which will stretch the attacker out. This can either be used as a finisher or a restraint depending on long and hard the choke is applied.
